The Venue

Set within 35 acres of peaceful grounds, Lindors Country House occupies a secluded position between the Wye Valley and the ancient Forest of Dean that feels delightfully removed from the everyday pace of life.

Found just beyond the village of St Briavels and five minutes from the market town of Coleford, views from the estate reach across the Wye Valley towards Monmouthshire.

At the centre of this landscape stands Lindors Country House, a Victorian Gothic Manor House with ornate gables, tall chimneys and honey-toned stonework that create a striking first impression. While the elegant interiors bring together remarkable period craftsmanship and warm, contemporary comfort.

Inside, the reception room is lined with intricately carved panelling, etched with decorative motifs that speaks to the rich history of this Manor House. Crystal chandeliers scatter light across the room, illuminating gilded mirrors, original stained-glass details and a grand, carved-marble fireplace that anchors the space. Rich fabrics, comfortable seating and carefully chosen furnishings give the house a warm, exuberant modern-day twist.

The Grounds

Mature trees, open lawns and ancient woodland surround the house, giving Lindors its signature sense of seclusion and privacy.

Rich in wildlife, guests wake to the abundant array of bird song we have on the estate. The grounds provide plenty to explore and offer groups breathing space while still remaining closely connected.

For wedding celebrations and retreats, the gardens create a picturesque setting for photography, outdoor dining, drinks parties, receptions and both formal and informal gatherings.

The Bar Room &
Piano Lounge

The Dining Room

Our dining room offers adaptable seating, from casual coffee mornings to formal evening meals. Step out of the French doors onto the wrap-around raised stone terrace for your morning coffee to enjoy sweeping views of the estate.

Our fully equipped, well-lit and intuitively arranged guest kitchen provides groups with everything they need for a self-catered stay.

The practical, welcoming and social design of the centre island and breakfast bar seating makes group catering thoroughly enjoyable.

For catered occasions, a separate commercial kitchen provides approved professional caterers with dedicated preparation and service space.

The Guest Kitchen

Set within the grounds, the charming, well-appointed Oak Lodge, Beech Lodge, Yew Lodge and Hazel Lodge offer flexible accommodation for every type of stay. The lodges may be booked individually for short stays of up to four nights or as additional accommodation for guests attending a wedding, corporate retreat, family gathering or exclusive group booking at Lindors Country House, making them the ideal choice for both independent visitors and larger groups staying on the estate.
